It's Time For Some Predictions

Well the NFL season is upon us. It's the time of year where every team has a chance, and everybody's an expert. So I figured why not throw my hat into the ring. The following is how I see things breaking down, I will break down each division in order of finish with the Over/Under on the teams win total in (O/U). *denotes Wild Card team.

AFC
AFC West
San Diego (11.0) - Definitely the most talented team top to bottom, and with 4 games vs. the Raiders and Chiefs I'll take the over.
*Denver (9.0) - Their early defensive struggles concern me, but when you can run the ball you win. Over.
Oakland (5.0) - Their offense can't be as bad as last year. Over.
Kansas City (7.5) - When a holdout RB who carried 400 times last year is your only weapon it is not good news. Under.

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens (10.0) - Are you kidding me? Lose an ugly playoff game and suddenly you don't have the best defense in the NFL anymore. Over.
Pittsburgh Steelers (9.0) - Feel good story if the made the comeback to the playoffs, but a difficult schedule makes it unlikely. Over.
Cincinnati Bengals (9.5) - The defense is going to continually hold this team back. Under.
Cleveland Browns (6.0) - Hard to see more than 6 wins in this division. Under.

AFC South
Indianapolis Colts (11.5) - Pencil them in for 11, but that .5 really bugs me. Under.
*Jacksonville Jaguars (9.0) - Stability at QB should compliment and outstanding defense. Over.
Tennessee Titans (6.0) - Not a big VY fan, plus the cover curse, but7-9 should be very feasible. Over.
Houston Texans (6.5) - Schaub is an upgrade of the damaged psyche of Carr, but the o-line hasn't gotten that much better. Under.

AFC East

New England Patriots (11.0) - This time they didn't put in that damn .5. Over.
Buffalo Bills (6.0) - Should easily clear 6 win. This year's Jets. Over.
New York Jets (8.5) - Mid-season switch to Clemens will hold them back. Under.
Miami Dolphins (7.0) - Relying on the aging Trent Green for your renaissance is almost worse than trusting Joey Harrington. Under.

NFC
NFC West
Seatle Seahawks (9.0) - Still the best team in this division. Hasselback and Alexander have at least one good year left. Over.
*St. Louis Rams (8.0) - The defense just needs to get off the field occasionally and watch Bulger, Holt and Jackson work. Over.
San Fransisco 49ers (8.0) - This team is still one year away, plus the bad karma pf paying Nate Clements that much money has to have some effect. Under.
Arizona Cardinals (7.5) - Every year people look at the play-makers and say this is the year. Every year they remind us they're the Cardinals. Under.

NFC North
Chicago Bears (10.5) - This division guarantees them at least 11win. Over.
Green Bay Packers (7.5) - Another case of the .5 turning me off. Although their defense means 8-8 is possible. Under.
Detroit Lions (5.5) - I don't care how bad their defense is. This team has to be capable of 6 wins. Over.
Minnesota Vikings (7.0) - No running game is good enough to make up for Tarvaris Jackson at QB. Under.

NFC South
New Orleans Saints (9.5) - QB makes an even bigger impact in the NFC because of the talent disparity at the position, and Drew Brees is arguably the best. Over.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7.5) - Going from one of the toughest to easiest schedules and adding a veteran QB makes a huge difference. Over.
Carolina Panthers (9.0) - Becoming almost as dependable as the Cardinals for not living up to expectations. Under.
Atlanta Falcons (8.0) - No way any team lead by Joey Harrington wins 8 games in the NFL. If they dropped it to 5.0 wins I might consider the Over, but not at 8.0. Under.

NFC East
Philadelphia Eagles (9.0) - Donavan McNabb was probably the best QB in the NFL last year before his injury. I am betting his recover is more Palmer than Culpepper.
*Dallas Cowboys (9.5.) - I'm figuring them for the playoffs but am still a bit weary of Romo. Over.
Washington Redskins (7.0) - Another surprise team. Could very well win the division if anyone struggles. Over.
New York Giants (8.0) - It won't be Eli's fault but this team will not be very good. Under.

So that's how I figure things will shake out this year. I guess will find out if I'm as smart as I think I am.
